By saying “we are more than conquerors,” Paul did not refer to victories related to the things of the world. There are few who use God’s Word in a distorted way to justify the crazy things they do. Just turn on the TV to see the sad situation in which a good part of the People find themselves, being surrounded by pastors who preach the pursuit of prosperity and insane miracles. As we have stated, each one is free to do as he pleases. Although it does not seem so, this is the spirit of apostasy. We must not forget, however, that in the Lord’s land, sowing is free, reaping is obligatory. Therefore, judgment comes upon all mankind and will begin with the House of the Lord.
We who are the Chosen People love God and Jesus Christ. We must open eyes and ears; dilate minds and hearts, so as not to be deceived. The People of God do not have a specific denomination. It is everywhere, attending one church or another, or outside of it. He knows that life is meaningless if it is not based on the promises of freedom and salvation made by the Eternal since ancient generations. Therefore, the Lord’s sheep, whether they are here or there, need to wake up from the lethargic sleep that evil has imposed on the church. It is urgent to realize God’s call and to know the truths of the Spirit, who make us participants in history and make us future counselors of the world, lost in delusions and sins.
If we are truly the blessed generation, it is not possible to continue living like ordinary men, chasing after riches, wonderful jobs and fleeting enjoyments. Our lives should be as simple as possible, without great needs and worldly dreams. Only then will we be closer to God and his Christ. Let us remember that Paul also stated that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evils. Not just some, but all. That is not the concern our goal of life. Walking with God requires profound changes in conduct. The Word states that we are gods so we cannot see ourselves as mere characters in the life that is over, but in the one that will follow eternally. This means that after physical death we will continue to exist in another time and space until God grants us to live again.
The New Jerusalem is the new world, the place of our future. We are more than conquerors because of the Gospel. We have overcome sin and we have fought bravely against it. We fall and get up we don’t know how many times. We are distressed and distressed, facing so many uncertainties. We slept badly. We are humiliated by spirits, by evil men, by people who desire our defeat. We live in danger! For love of Jesus and fear of God, we are killed every day. But Christ takes us from death to life every day. Hallelujah!
We are warriors of the Lord of hosts. We are not fighting for possession of earthly goods, but because we desire those who are eternal. Impossible to be otherwise, since God’s Word points this way, and only that way. Who claims that there is biblical foundation for the prosperity theory; Whoever says that God created you to enjoy worldly life distorts the general teachings of the Holy Writ, for they all point to the Kingdom to be established in heaven and on earth.
Romans 8 verse 36 states, “Through you we are delivered to death every day.” We are not given to suffering, trials, challenges, humiliations because of carnal pleasures, but by Jesus our Lord. God is the just judge and not a few will gnash their teeth. A person who chooses the Eternal cannot be silent under any pretext, in the face of injustice and false doctrines. One cannot be silent before the lie and the half truths announced in the flock. We are the salt of the earth, and if it is tasteless, if it does not salt, it is no good but to be thrown away and to be trampled by men. This is not what we want for us. Get to work, Holy People of God!
